Awaab's Law Awareness Training in brief: This online course covers what Awaab's Law requires and who it applies to in England's social rented sector. Phase 1 has applied since 27 October 2025; Phase 2 takes effect on 30 November 2026. It is quoted for your team, is self-paced and includes a ProCompliance completion certificate when passed. It takes approx. 15 minutes online.
Why this training matters
Awaab's Law followed the death of Awaab Ishak and sets timeframes for social housing landlords in England to investigate hazards and complete safety work. Phase 1 came into force on 27 October 2025 and covers all emergency hazards plus significant damp and mould hazards. Phase 2 takes effect on 30 November 2026 and extends the significant-hazard requirements to a wider group of hazards.
Awaab's Law Awareness explains what the new rules require of social housing landlords in England and who they apply to. It covers the timescales for investigating and repairing reported hazards, how to recognise damp, mould and other serious hazards, and how to record and escalate a resident's report. It also makes the consequences of failing to act clear.
