In this section, you’ll understand the Data Protection Act 2008, GDPR and the reason for it’s existence and ensuring data is kept safe and secure

Time: Approximately 9 minutes

In this section we will understand further the core principles of The Data Protection Act, what is mean by fair, lawful and transparent processing, data minimisation, data retention and storage and more.

Time: Approximately 7 minutes

In this section we’ll understand legal ground for processing data and obtaining consent. We’ll guide you through lawful reasons to collect and training consent for collecting data, the various reasons you can collect data and a persons right to withdraw consent and request erasure of data.

Time: Approximately 6 minutes

In this section we’ll explore the rights of the person of whom you’re collecting data on. We’ll explore the requests that can be made by the data subject and what you must do to ensure compliance with The Data Protection Act.

Finally, we’ll look at responsibilities, both individual and shared, who holds which responsibility and any consequences of failing to comply.
