In brief: the Course Builder is a free tool inside The Globe LMS. Your team uses it to build your own online courses. You upload your own video, images and slides, then add questions and set a final exam and pass mark. A certificate issues automatically. Over 1,000 short videos come with it, to use alongside your own material. Finished courses run in The Globe or export as SCORM to run elsewhere.

Build your own courses, without waiting on us

Your induction, your policies, your machinery. Nobody can sell you the parts of training that are specific to your business, so The Globe includes a Course Builder for exactly that. It is included, and your own team uses it. The Globe tracks and reports what you build in the same place as all our online courses.

What is included

If you would rather hand it over, we will build the course for you. We work from your material: your slides, your video, your policies. Turnaround is as little as four weeks depending on what it involves. Tell us what you need and we will scope it. Either way the finished course lives in the same library and reports the same way.

Where the finished course runs

Assign it to your team in The Globe and it reports alongside everything else. That means who has completed it, who is overdue, and the certificate for each person. Otherwise export it as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 and run it on another learning platform. You can build courses for your own team, or build them to sell.

The Course Builder is always included, so it costs nothing extra. The pricing page explains the ways to buy, and we send a written quote for your team, usually the same working day.

Common questions

Who builds the course, us or you?

You build it yourself. The Course Builder is a self service tool inside The Globe, so your own team creates the course and edits it whenever it needs changing. We are here if you want help, and you never wait on us to make a change.

Does the Course Builder cost extra?

No. It is included at no extra cost. There is also no limit on how much of your own video you upload.

What can we build with it?

Inductions, site specific safety briefings, policy sign offs and product training. That also covers anything you would otherwise deliver in a room or send round as an unread PDF.

Can we mix our own content with your courses?

Yes. Over 1,000 short videos come with it, to use inside your own courses, so you can combine ready made material with the parts specific to your business.

Can we assess and certify our own courses?

Yes. Add questions, set your own pass mark and a refresh period. A certificate then issues on completion in the same way as our accredited courses.

Can we use the courses outside The Globe?

Yes. Finished courses export as SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004, so they can run on another learning platform. Some customers also build courses to sell.
