In this section, we will look at what GDPR and Data Protection is, and why the law is there to protect data.

Time: Approximately 9 minutes

In this section, we will cover the principles of GDPR: Lawfulness fairness and transparency, Purpose Limitation, Data Minimisation, Accuracy, Storage Limitation, Integrity and Confidentiality, and Accountability. 

Time: Approximately 7 minutes

In this section, we will cover the six lawful basis for processing data: Consent, Contract, Legal Obligation, Vital Interests, Public Tasks and Legitimate Interests.

Time: Approximately 6 minutes

In this section, we will cover the rights of an individual, including their right to request a data subject access request (DSAR).

Time: Approximately 6 minutes

In this section, we will cover what a data processor is, what a data controller is, and what their duties are under the Data Protection Act.

Time: Approximately 6 minutes

In this section, we will cover the share responsibility between employee and employer for ensuring data is kept safe. We’ll also cover the Data Processing Officer in your organisation and their responsibilities.
