Safeguarding children and prevent duty come hand in hand. Radicalisation and extremism in the UK is a very real risk to children, and it’s important that we are aware and can spot the signs to prevent this happening. This online Prevent Duty training course is designed to recognise signs, and how to report them.
By the end of this course, you should be able to understand the Prevent strategy and its objectives, understand radicalisation, extremism, and terrorism, how to spot signs of a person being exposed to them and understand the Channel programme and its aims. You should also have gained the knowledge of how to respond to concerns, and how to report them, including the notice, check, share procedure.
