PUWER Awareness
Many of us will use forms of work equipment on a daily basis. Whether that be hand held tools, mounted equipment, or industrial equipment, and all of these need to be used and maintained correctly to ensure the safety of workers. PUWER, or the Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations offer clear guidelines on safe use and maintenance of work equipment. This online PUWER training course provides basic awareness on how to implement PUWER guidelines in to our working day.
By the end of this course, you should know more about employers’ and employees’ responsibilities for keeping all colleagues safe at work, what Safe Standard is, and the importance of equipment maintenance, inspection and testing to minimise the risk of injury or accident and the use of guards and stop controls to reduce the likelihood of injury while using dangerous machinery.
