Training by sector

The law is the same in every sector, but the risks are not. Each of these eight sectors has its own page with the courses that apply.

The Globe LMS delivers every course online. Selected courses are IOSH approved, CPD accredited or, for asbestos, IATP audited, as shown on each course page. Pick the sector closest to your work to see what applies.

What the law says, and what it costs

The law in its own words, and the scale of the problem in HSE's. We quote both word for word, so you can check them.

The employer's duty extends to “the provision of such information, instruction, training and supervision as is necessary to ensure, so far as is reasonably practicable, the health and safety at work of his employees”

Section 2(2)(c), Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974Training is not an optional extra. It is named in the general duty itself.

Common questions about the eight sectors

Which sector should we choose?

The one closest to the work your people actually do. If you span more than one, all our courses are available on any plan, so nothing is locked away.

Are sector courses priced differently?

No. A sector page is simply a way into the courses, and every sector has the same pricing options. Once we know your requirements, we find the best value option for you.

What if our industry is not listed?

The catalogue still covers you. Call 01344 957 700 and we will point you at the right set for your risks.
