After the list

Then see who has done what, before anyone asks

Assign the list to your team in The Globe and the training matrix shows every person against every course: complete, in progress, not started or failed, with the certificate behind each completion.

The Globe's training matrix: one row per person and one column per course, so the training requirements set for each person show as a completion date in green, not started in blue, in progress in amber or failed in red
The Globe's training matrix: every person against every course.

Before you rely on this list

Treat this list as a starting point for your own compliance assessment. It lists the training requirements that commonly apply to what you ticked. Most duties turn on your own risk assessment, and some sectors carry rules it does not cover. Every duty here links to the official text, and the team will map the list to your roles on a demo.

Common questions

What training is legally required for UK employers?

Every UK employer must provide the information, instruction, training and supervision needed to keep people safe so far as is reasonably practicable, under section 2(2)(c) of the Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974. Further duties are triggered by what the work involves, such as manual handling, display screen equipment, work at height, hazardous substances, work equipment, noise, PPE and asbestos.

How often does workplace training need refreshing in the UK?

There is no fixed statutory interval. Regulation 13 of the Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999 requires training to be repeated periodically where appropriate and adapted to new or changed risks, so the frequency follows your risk assessment.
